Mangaluru, June 15: A young woman from Makki in Shirtady village near Moodbidri went missing, after she left home to buy rations from a fair price shop at Karkala.
Zohra (22), had been living with her husband in abroad, and had recently arrived to her native place. Her husband hails from Banglegudde in Karkala.
On Friday afternoon, Zohra had left home with her son to buy ration items from Karkala, after which she went missing.
It is gathered that before she went missing, she had pledged her golden ring in a bank at Shirtady and borrowed a loan of Rs 2,400 against it.
On the basis of a missing complaint filed by the sister of Zohra, a case has been registered at Moodbidri Police Station and investigations are underway.
