Sri Rama Sene stages protests against the state and central government

Mangaluru, June 8: A protest was staged by the activists of Sri Rama Sene (SRS) in front of the DC’s office here on Monday, June 8th against the central government and also against the state government over withdrawal of cases against PFI and KFD.

Mahesh Koppa, SRS Zonal President addressing the protest said, earlier the BJP government had assured of banning cow slaughter, Ram Mandir construction at Ayodhya and stop forced conversion. But later it has failed to keep up its assurances, he said.

He said, the Prime minister is occupied with the international tours and is not addressing the real issues. The recent comments of BJP national president Amith Shah and Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar on cow slaughter and beef ban has hurted the sentiments of Hindus.

The state government is not taking appropriate actions against PFI and KFD and there by supporting anti-national activities. He warned that the state government may have to face massive protests if the cases against KFD and PFI are withdrawn.

Later a memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.

Jeevan Neermarga- SRS district president, Secretary- Praveen Valke, and others participated in the protest.
