Mangalore, June 19: It has been reported that the Karnataka Sangha, Shimoga has chosen BM Basheer for the prestigious P Lankesh award-2012.
Basheer,a senior journalist, who is presently serving as News Editor for Vartha Bharathi Kannada daily is also an eminent writer and thinker. The award is sponsored by the Karnataka Sangha, Shimoga.
Others who are chosen for the award are Basavannappa Kambara in the short story category, Girija Shastri for poetry and Dr H S Anupama in the translation category.
