Mangaluru, June 3: A youth has been murdered in broad day light in the centre of the city on Wednesday, June 3rd.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjith (22), from Mogaveerapatna in Ullal.
It is alleged that Dhanu from Kanduka stabbed Ranjith at Nehru Maidan in the afternoon. Ranjith was injured in the incident, ran for safety from the spot. He reached a canteen near Taluk office. He was rushed to Wenlock hospital but was declared brought dead.
The attacker Dhanu who is a drug addict, has fled the spot.
Police commissioner S Murugan along with staffs and forensic experts visited the crime spot and investigated.
Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
