Mangaluru, May 21: A teenager expired in an accident at Deralakatte junction here on Thursday May 21st.
Muhammed Shafique (16) from Kalkatta, is the deceased.
Shafique was riding pillion on a Honda Activa scooter with Abdul Razak, his neighbour. He had taken a lift to reach Deralakatte.
While Abdul Razak was about to stop his scooter to speak to a relative whom he came across at Deralakatte junction, a car being driven by a doctor that was moving behind the scooter dashed to the scooter.
Shafique, was badly injured in the accident and expired on the spot.
Shafique, was a student of Kalkatta government high school, had passed SSLC this year and had planned to join pre-university college.
Shafique used to work in his uncle’s electrical shop at Deralakatte, on account of summer holidays.
Konaje police have registered a case.
