Theft in Laxmidas Jewellery Shop: Duo Bihar based men arrested by cops.

Mangaluru, May 16: In connection to the theft which had taken place in Laxmidas Jewellery shop in the city before sun rise on May 13th, the Mangaluru cops have arrested two Bihar based men.

City Police commissioner S Murugan, addressing a press meet at his office on Saturday, May 16th said, the arrested men are Mohammed Ifthikar Alam (22), a resident of Rampur, Poorniya district in Bihar and Mohammed Sabeer(22), a resident of Gatul Belva in Bihar.

Cops have recovered silver jewellery, mobile phones, laptop and other valuables worth Rs 10 lakhs from the accused.

The burglars had also sneaked into JES Tours and Travels office, apart from Laxmidas Jewellers.

A case stands registered against the accused in Bunder Police station.

Other cases are also booked against the accused in Hulimavu and Sampigehalli police stations in Bengaluru.

Under the directions of Police Commissioner S Murugan, guided by DCP Vishnuvardhan, led by Bunder Police inspector S Shantaram and his team, the investigation and arrest operation was conducted.
