Mangaluru, May 5: Health minister U T Khadar launched two bike ambulances at Circuit House here on Tuesday May 5th.

Speaking at a press meet held later he said, reason behind the launch of bike ambulances is that when a person meets with an accident, the injured can get initial medical assistance soon. Due to the traffic, sometimes ambulance vans may not be able to reach the spot on time. In such circumstances, bike ambulance will be very useful. One bike ambulance will be given to the MCC and the other to Ullal and they will move within their limits only. Depending on the demand, more bike ambulances will be added, he said.
