Deputy Commissioner visits City’s hospitals to comfort Dengue affected patients

Mangalore, June 13: In the wake of fast spreading Dengue in various places awareness campaigns, preventive measures are being conducted and the officers concerned have been embarked upon a reality check drive by paying surprise visits to hospitals.

Here, in one such incident Dr N Prakash,Distrrict Deputy Commissioner and MUDA President paid an official visit to KMC hospital, Attavara, met Dengue patients and comforted them and directed the doctors to give proper attention and treatment especially to the patients who are running high fever.

The deputy commissioner spoke to the patients and gathered first hand information on the treatment provided to them. He also interacted with the medical and health officials and elicited information on the measures taken to check the spread of the disease.

Further Deputy Commissioner sought the details regarding the progress registered in the door-to-door campaign.

Sources said two of the patients have been already discharged and Blood report of Karunakar from Puttur shown negative. Remaining three patients are from Kanjangad in Kerala and Nileshwara.One more patient Abubacker is from Bettampady,Puttur and another one Thammappa is from Sullia , he is being given treatment and recovering, it says.
