Kasargod police detain two suspected inter-state vehicle flickers.

Kasargod, April 16: Kasargod team of cops have arrested two suspected inter-state vehicle flickers. Cops have seized two cars from their possession.

Team of police led by Kasargod district police commissioner Dr Srinivas conducted this operation.

The arrested are namely Noor Mohammed(35), resident of Padanna  in Kasargod and Sujay (31) from Irikkoori, Kannur.

It is gathered; during investigations it has been revealed that more than hundred vehicles from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh were stolen by them. It is said that some more persons are involved in the team of thieves and cops are on a lookout for them.

An Indica car which was stolen from Bengaluru was seized by the cops.

The Kasargod station police, who were checking vehicles at Kallangai on the national highways in the city suburbs, had directed to stop the Indica car. The police grew suspicious and followed it as the car sped past them without stopping, The cops captured it at Karandakkad.

When the duos in the car were questioned, they were unable to give appropriate answers.  The cops who took them to the police station, further probed them and learnt the truth. Cash Rs 60,000 which was in the car was also recovered from them.

Police sources said that police cases have been registered against Noor Mohammed in Payyanur, Chendera, Kannur,Tamilnadu and Bengaluru.

The arrested are being interrogated by the cops to gather more information.
