Anti-terrorism Training Programme in US: Venkatesh Prasanna represents Karnataka.

Mangaluru, April 11: Venkatesh Prasanna, former CCB inspector of Mangaluru who is currently serving as DySP in IGP (western range) office, had recently attend a Seaport Security Anti-terrorism Training Programme (SSATP) in Charleston, United states.

Prasanna was the only person selected from the Karnataka police department and was one among 22 senior police officers selected from around the world for this training programme.

He was the only official selected from Karnataka police department to attend this training programme.

Seven police officers including Prasanna represented India.

Prasanna, was recommended by the union government to attend the programme, considering his impressive record in tackling crime and adopting various techniques to solve cases.

Under the guidance of senior officers of US Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, which trains American army and Department of Police, this training programme was held.

Various topics such as maritime terrorism, counter-measures and technology familiarization, seaport operations, maritime piracy and crimes etc were discussed in the training programme.
