Mangaluru, Apr 8 : The “Graduation Ceremony” of Nethaji Institute of Nursing Sciences and Premakanthi College of Education was held here on Monday April 6 in the Don Bosco Hall.
Health and Family welfare minister U T Khader was the chief guest. Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipal University Dr V Surendra Shetty was the guest of honor and delivered the graduation address. President of Premakanthi Educational and Charitable Trust (R), Prof A Premalatha Shetty presided over the function. Secretary of Premakanthi Educational and Charitable Trust (R), Prof A Rathnakanthi Shetty, Trustees Sudhir Prasad Shetty, Gurukiran, Dr Shiv Sharan, Principal of Nursing Sciences, Prof Harish K and Principal of College of Education, Dr Jyotsna Rao K were present on the dais.
Under the B Sc Nursing section, graduation was conferred to 27 distinction holders and 15 first class pass graduates, under the PCB Sc Nursing, graduation was conferred to 14 First Class and 9 Second Class pass graduates and under the B.Ed section, graduation was conferred to 46 Distinction holders and 30 first class pass graduates.
Various cultural programs by the students of the college was also held on the occasion.
