Jamiyyatul Falah felicitates minister, MLAs, corporators

Mangalore, June 09: The DK and Udupi units of Jamiyyatul Falah has organized a thanks giving and felicitation programme for the newly elected ministers,MLAs and MCC members on June 8,Saturday at Jamiyyatul community hall

Addressing the gathering, Ramanath Rai said that since people from all communities and religions voted for him to win with huge margin of 89,000 votes and reposed confidence on him and now it is his turn to serve the people without any discrimination and uphold communal harmony and brotherhood in the society. About 75 % of the people from different communities and religion have chosen him for the sixth consecutive time.

Commenting on erstwhile BJP government Rai said those who have ruled by playing dirty politics have completely lost their root in the district and it was an adverse result of hatred politics  and has not been endorsed by the people.

Further he said that politics of hatred polarized the society and congress will strive to reduce this gap and give pro-people administration under the leadership of Siddaramaiah and will surely protect and preserve communal harmony in society, he added

Abdussalam Puthige, editor Varha Bharathi, a Kannada daily said in his congratulatory address that people have been witnessing various developments in the last two months and political parties in their pre-poll period used to please the voters at their door steps and now after they get elected, their responsibility to serve the society in a better manner and work for the welfare of the common man.

It is always being observed that politicians always please the voters prior to the election but after the election they should not forget and leave the common man in lurch by not fulfilling the promises what they made in their manifestos. As the popularity of the politicians is short lived, they must work constructively during their period of tenure for the welfare of the people in the respective constituencies, the same will be remembered always and good deeds never go waste and will be paid adequately, he added

He further said that today caste and sects are playing havoc and have created lot of problems in the society but in order to resolve that issue politicians must be disciplined not egoist. If the present leaders try to learn from their predecessors, without any doubt the present leaders too can become like their predecessors one day or other.
