Mangaluru, April 4: In connection with the murder of Ritesh at Nekkilagude, Derebail-Konchady under Kavoor police station limits which took place recently, cops have arrested five persons.
The arrested are namely Prabhakar Anchan alias Prabha (36), resident of Nekkilagudde, Nishant Kavoor (30), resident of Lohithnagar, Vinodraj Shetty alias Boti (24) from Urwa, Shailesh alias Shailu (27) of Bondel, and Bharatesh, from Kumblapadavu, Mudipu. All the arrested were produced in court and remanded under judicial custody.
It was said that a financial dispute was the reason behind the clash between Ritesh and Prabhakar.
It is said that, Prabhakar is an accused in several assault cases in Kavoor, Urwa and Mangaluru rural police stations.
Ritesh who was murdered was a prime accused in the Girish Putran murder case, said police sources.
