Udupi, April 4: Udupi police have arrested two men on Friday April 3rd, who were loitering suspiciously in the vicinity of Saiberkatte Yadthady with an intention of selling an illegal pistol.
Police raided a spot near Kavadi cross at Yadthady based on credible information, and nabbed the duo youths.
The arrested are identified as Yogish (29) from Kundapur and Sohail (29).
Cops have seized a pistol, seven live bullets, a bike, cash Rs 1.34 lakhs and three mobile phones from the accused. Yogish and Sohail were later handed over to Brahmavar police for further investigation.
Directed by Udupi SP Annamalai, led by ACP Santhosh Kumar, Udupi sub-divisional DySP Chandrashekar K M and other officers; police personnel Ravichandra, Santosh Ambagilu, Suresh, Chandra Shetty, and others took part in the operation.
