Udupi, March 20: In an operation, the Udupi cops have arrested trio on Thursday March 19th, after raiding a flat near Kolambe here for betting on the India-Bangladesh World Cup match.
The arrested are identified as Sukesh Rao, Anand Poojary (56), a resident of Bailoor, and Ramesh Poojary (52), a resident of Moodanidambur, Udupi.
Udupi cops led by circle inspector Srikanth K, raided the flat on the basis of reliable information, and initially arrested Sukesh from the flat.
Later, the cops arrested Ramesh and Anand on the basis of information revealed by Sukesh during interrogation. The cops have recovered Rs 3.88 lakh, four cellular phones, a tab, a television set and a diary from the accused.
Later, the trio accused were produced in court. Directed by Udupi SP Annamalai, this operation was carried out.
