Mangaluru, March 19: After the alleged kidnapping and manhandling case of a student nun in the city in broad daylight on Monday March 16th, suspension order has been issued to the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Kadri police station.
As per the order issued by police commissioner S Murugan, Kadri ASI has been suspended for delaying in accepting the complaint.
It is said, when the victim had been to Kadri police station to file complaint, both inspector and sub-inspector were not in the station, hence the ASI who was present had asked the victim to wait untill the inspector arrived, instead of accepting her complaint. This excessive delay had further traumatised the victim who was already shocked by this incident. Later, the nun informed the matter to higher police officials.
S Murugan, has initiated disciplinary action against the ASI and issued the suspension order.
