Mangaluru, March 13: Much-awaited Tulu movie ‘Soombe’ was released at Jyothi theater in Mangaluru on Friday March 13th.
The occasion was inaugurated by Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.
‘Soombe’ family entertainer movie is released in 12 theater’s. Jyothi theatre, PVR, Cinepolis and Big Cinemas in Mangaluru. Radhika theatre and Planet theater’s in Karkala, and also in theatres at Udupi, Manipal, Moodbidri, Beltangady BC Road, and Puttur.
Addressing the gathered, Roy said, it is a proud moment for all. Tulu artistes have exhibited us that they can make their living through Tulu language. I hope this movie runs for over 100 days, he said.
Heroine of the film, Shritama Mukherjee, spoke on the occasion and asked all to watch the movie. She said she is learning Tulu language and also likes Mangaluru.
On this occasion, Saikrishna Kudla- Director, Producer Kishore Kottari, Producer Shwetha K Kottari, Lead actor of the movie Rahul, Ashwith Kottari, music director Edberg Dilone, Prasanna Shetty Bailuru, Navin D Padil, Umanath Kotian, Prakash Pandeshwar, Divakar Shetty, and others were also present.
