Ullal, February 25: A project has been planned to construct a high-tech bus stand in Thokkotu town for which a team of officials will arrive from Bengaluru to inspect it within a month informed Health Minister U T Khader.
He informed this while he had arrived on Wednesday to inspect the ongoing developmental works at Thokkotu bus stand.
Along with the NH 66 road developmental works, the road works of Thokkotu-Melkar has also begun. With this perspective, Thokkotu- the main town of Ullal municipality will be face-lifted, he said.
Minister said further, the developmental works of Thokkotu bus stand is being done in two phases and the present system will be developed to the best. During the second phase of the project developmental works such as under pass bus stand, multi storey building and adequate parking facility are planned to be undertaken. Next month, the officials from Bengaluru will arrive to inspect, he said.
The road works of Manchi-Era has been undertaken at a cost of Rs 2.5 crores. The people should co-operate during the developmental works.
Nasir- Commissioner of Urban Development Authority, Roopa T Shetty Ullal Municipal officer, Girija Bai, municipality chairman, members Bazil D’Souza, Usman Kallapu and others were present.
