‘Harmony march towards unity’ witness participation of large crowd.

Mangaluru, February 24: ‘Harmony march towards unity’ was organized by the DYFI and SFI along with like-minded organizations on Tuesday February 24th here witnessed the participation of huge mass of people.

A rally was held from Dr Ambedkar circle to DC’s office before the meeting.

Sri Veerabhadra Chennamalla Swamiji of Shri Nidumamidi Math addressed the gathered and said, India was a role model to the world in terms of peace and harmony, in the past. People lack tolerance which is leading to violence in the society.

He further said, till present, all saints have preached peaceful and harmony to the society, but ironically, we are failing to follow their preaching’s. It is the time again to think where we err. India is one, there is no separate India for Muslims, Hindus or Christians or Jains. We all have to live together in tolerance, peace and harmony, he said.

Women are unsafe and many problems still persist in India. But instead of resolving these problems we speak about religion and fight for it, which is undesirable, he said.

Dayananda Shetty, DYFI district president during his address said, petty issues are turning communal in the district. He wished and expressed that this harmony march towards unity becomes an eye opener to all those who are attempting to divide the society.

Muneer Katipalla- state DYFI president, V Ambarish- SFI state president, Santhosh Bajal -DYFI secretary, Charan Shetty- SFI district secretary, Vasant Achari, CPI (M) district secretary, were present among others.
