Mangaluru, February 20: a head of the Hindu Samajotsava, a bike rally was organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal on Friday, February 20th.
The rally was flagged off by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in the auspicious presence of Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math.
Bike rally started at Hindu Samajotsava office premises near Bunts Hostel and moved through Mallikatta, Lower Bendor, Balmatta, Hampankatta, State Bank, Central Market, Car Street, Lady Hill, and culminated at Bunts Hostel. In this rally, activists of Hindu associations had participated in large numbers.
Addressing the gathering prior to the rally, Kateel said, “Hinudism is a way of life. Since the past 50 years, VHP has been working with the ideals of nationalism to unite Hindus against social evils like casteism, he said.
He said all should take part in the Hindu Samajotsava fest without any fear. Since many years, it is being organized in Mangaluru but there have been no instances of clashes.
S Ganesh Rao, Honorary President of the Committee of the Hindu samajotsava, M B Puranik-VHP leader and former MLA N Yogish Bhat, General Secretary of the Committee Jitendra S Kottari, chief convener Sharan Pumpwell, district convener Gopal Kuttar, CO- convener Bhujanga Kulal Devanna Shetty and leaders of various Hindu associations were present on this occasion.
