Mangaluru, February 19: A national seminar on ‘Revisiting Shakespeare: 450 Years’, was organized at St Aloysius College (autonomous) here on Thursday February 19th by the College’s postgraduate department of English.
Dr A Lourdusamy, vice-principal of the college and convener of the PG department of English welcomed the gathering.
Dr Leo D’Souza, director, lab of applied biology, St Aloysius College along with other guests on the dais unveiled the portrait of Shakespeare.
Debut novel, ‘Falling for my Crazy Stalker’, authored by Nikita Carol Ferrao, a second year MA student was also released on this occasion.
Fr Swebert announced a sum of Rs 3,000 on behalf of the management of St Aloysius College, to Nikita towards the expenses she incurred in publishing the book.
Prof Ronald Pinto, vice-principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and the college staffs were present on this occasion. The event also witnessed participants from across the country.
Melissa Goveas Carlos proposed the vote of thanks while Nikita compered the program.
