Mangaluru, February 18: Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, the district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president addressing a meeting convened by Town Hall User’s Forum has demanded that within 15 days the Mangalore City Corporation ought to locate an alternative place untill town hall is renovated.
Kalkuara has said that in the state, only the coastal twin districts do not have Rangamandira and Gadibhavana. The renovation works of town hall had to be completed by now. But the town hall which was convenient to organize programs is currently under renovation and none knows exactly when the town hall will be ready to organize the programs. He, has damned the silence of elected representatives on the delay of renovation work of town hall in city.
He said, maintenance of town hall should not be given to private parties. The bookings should be done in a first come first serve basis.
Unavailability of the hall has caused great inconvenience to the citizens.
