Mangaluru, February 13th: Flower show will be held at Kadri Park from February 14th to 17th organized under the joint association of Horticulture Department of the Zilla Panchayat Dakshina Kannada, DK Zilla Panchayat and Siri horticultural association, informed the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Yogesh HR.
He informed this at a press conference on Thursday, February 13th organized here and said, this time the show will be made unique by showcasing a model depicting the journey to Mars by using 80,000 Dutch roses.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on 14th February at 3 pm, and the daily show will be held from 8 am to 9am at night. Multilingual poetry recitals will be held under the aegis of the Kallachu Publication on February 14th at 5pm, he informed.
He said, since the past 3-4 years, admission was free to the show. But in order the balance the expenses of the flower show, from this year entry fee will be collected at the cost of Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for children. Free entry will be allowed for the children if they arrive in groups from schools. Interested schools are requested to contact the concerned well in advance, announced Yogesh HR.
