Mangaluru, February 12: After the party led by Arvind Kejriwal marked a historic win in the Delhi Assembly elections, on Wednesday February 11th, the members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) local unit; marched the streets of the city rejoicing and celebrating the party’s success in Delhi.
AAP members took on a rally from Dr Ambedkar Circle to Mahatma Gandhi statue near Town Hall, saying slogans in praise of Kejriwal.
AAP local unit head Dr Marcy Pinto inaugurated the rally. Local AAP leader Alexander D’Souza garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi along with a child. Men, women and children participated in the rally.
Rajendra Kumar AAP local unit treasurer, addressing the gathering said, it is a win-win situation for all in Delhi after the AAP got the majority. The steps to build corruption-free India have begun in Delhi which ought to spread across the country.
Alexander D’Souza thanked all those who participated in the rally and said, AAP’s win in Delhi has ignited a national spirit among Indians. All must strive to make India a free from corruption.
