Protest staged by VHP and Bajrangadal against the ban on Togadia.

Mangaluru, February 04: A protest was staged in front of the BJP Office near PVS Circle in the city on February 4th, Wednesday by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bhajrangdal, damning the move of the state government for banning entry to the VHP leader Praveen Togadia to Bengaluru from February 5th to February 11th.

Due to the provocative speech made by Togadia in the past, he was barred from entering Bengaluru.

The protestors warned of intensifying their protest if the state government did not withdraw the order immediately. If it fails, thousands of activists from the district will travel to Bengaluru and take part in the Hindu Samajothsava convention there. They also warned that the government would be held responsible in case of any untoward incident.

The protestors blocked the road and traffic movement was disrupted for about half an hour.

VHP leaders Jagadish Shenava, Jithendra Kottari, Bhajrangdal leaders Puneeth Kottari, Sharan Pumpwell and many other activists participated in the protest.
