Hemanath was later expelled from his post. After he was ejected, Hemanath blamed MLA Shakuntala Shetty and Janardhan Poojary for his dismiss, and had insulted the latter and also accused him of playing divisive politics.

Poojary on addressing a press meet in the city on Sunday said, “BHP founder Hemanath Shetty has been ejected from his post of Puttur block Congress president and replaced by another person to his place. I have been observing Hemanath’s statements since few days, and even yesterday he passed a statement claiming that Congress is anti-Hindu and that the party has failed to protect Hindus, due to which he had founded the BHP. He also claimed that AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Vice-president Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders have lost.

He said, the Congress leaders have fought during the freedom struggle against the British, and now Hemanath Shetty is saying that all are useless in Congress and it cannot protect Hindus. Hemanath Shetty has not only challenged Sonia Gandhi, but also attacked Congress workers. he said. Hemanth would not have done this if he had faith in congress. Even though Congress leaders guided Hemanth, he failed to listen and today he has reached this level,” said Poojary.

Speaking on Hemanath’s allegations against him, Poojary said, “Hemanth says that, Poojary is separating the people on the lines of caste, but Poojary is not a member of the Billawa organization. I participate in Billawa programmes and if they err, I correct them. I treat everyone equally”, said Poojary.

Though one may be defeated in elections, humanity should not be defeated. Power comes and goes.

Poojary also queried Hemanth that whether he has taken permission from anyone to form BHP. Poojary will always be Poojary whatever they call me, he said.

Regarding the launch of BHP, apart from you, the Ministers and MLA’s have also expressed their strong opposition. But Minister UT Khader has said, it is not wrong to form a party. What do you say about it? –for this question posed by the reporters to Poojary, he said; “Vote is important to Khader. Power is important. Nation and party is not important. Hence they say like that”, said Poojary.

Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Kavitha Vasu- Deputy Mayor, leader of the party-Mohammed Bhadruddin, Kallige Taranath Shety, Nagendra Kumar, T K Sudhir, PV Mohan, and others were present during the press meet.

Congress should also make cut off age 75 years. Old people like Janardana Poojary should take rest and give chance to youngsters.
