Mangalore, May 28: It has been reported in city that a speeding KSRTC bus coming from Puttur rammed on to parked wagon R car near Jyothi circle, opposite Gold Finch hotel on May 27, Monday late evening. Luckily no one was injured as nobody was present near the accident site neither driver of the wagnor R nor pedestrians.
Impact of the collision was so severe that transformers near the spot and the parked wagon R car damaged in the mishap.
Sources said that bus was coming from Puttur was at high speed crossing even within the prescribed city limit. According to the eye witnesses the negligence from driver’s side and haphazard parking of the car were the main reason for accident to occur. By seeing the position of the car how it landed after the incident, one could imagine what would have been the casualties if car had fallen down in to the ditch.
Traffic in the area was disrupted for some time owing to the accident. The traffic police arrived on the spot and regularized the traffic back to normal.
