Mangalore, May 27: A forum of catholic businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals, Rachana has felicitated Mangalore south MLA JR Lobo and his wife Philomena at a function held in the city on May 26, Sunday.
Capt. John Prasad Menezes introduced JR Lobo and read out the citation.
After receiving the honour, JR Lobo said in his reponse that people from all walks of life regardless of their caste, religion and language contributed immensely in their own way to his victory and added that with this as an MLA responsibility towards his constituencies has been multiplied.
He further said that his victory was very special as it was a biggest achievement of his life as he defeated four times MLA and deputy speaker in the erstwhile BJP government- Yogish Bhat.
While thanking Rachana for being honoring him, he said that he had a vision for the development of Mangalore in various fields and promised to work relentlessly and sincerely for the accomplishment of his cherished dreams for Mangalore.
Roy Castelino, chairman of Rachana felicitated both JR Lobo and his wife Philomena.
