Bantwal, January 20: A man named as Naveen had been arrested by the Vittal cops on the charges of raping a woman.
Naveen (30) from Karinka had entered the house of a married woman who and raped her when she was alone in Anantady village near Vittal during the day. He had also threatened her of murdering her if she revealed the incident to others. The woman is the mother of two children. The incident had taken place last week.
It is learnt that, Naveen is addicted to liquor and ganja, and is in the habit of chasing pretty girls.
On Monday morning, the cops who got specific information that the accused was in Kadeshwalya under took the arrest operation.
A crew of Vittal cops comprised of Raghavendra T R, Station house officer of Vittal, and other police staffs undertook the operation.
The accused was produced before the court and is detained under judicial custody.
