Mangaluru, January 15: Devotees thronged to the Infant Jesus shrine at Carmel Hill in Bikarnakatte during the annual carnival of the church held on Wednesday, January 14th.
The evening mass was held under the prime presence of Bishop of Bareilly Dr Ignatius D’Souza. Bible was read by Fr Joe Tauro of St Josephs Monastry, Bikarnakatte.
The devotees participated in various rituals held at the shine, lit candles and offered their vows.
The Bishop Ignatius D’Souza gave a discourse on the topics Healthy Family, Supplement, heavenly bliss to the family, and heavenly happiness.
He said, lack of morality and fear of god, lack of sacrifice are the reasons behind the problems of today’s family life. HE suggested the people to develop mutual understanding, broad mindedness, and correct one another’s mistakes and lead a happy life. Fr Elias D’Souza- Director of the Infant Jesus Shrine and other priests of Carmel Institutions were present.
