Sandhya Creations holds Muhurat of its second Tulu movie.

Mangaluru, January 15: Sandhya Creations has announced the launch of its second Tulu movie which is yet to be named on Wednesday January 14th.

On the auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranthi, the muhurat of the movie Called as “Tulu Movie Production No 2”, was held at Sharavu Maha Ganapati Templein Mangaluru.

Sharavu temple priest conducted the pooja and blessed the crew of Production No 2.

This movie is being produced by Dubai-based Shodhan Prasad, who was also the producer of ‘Nirel’ the first international Tulu movie shot in the UAE, which has bagged different kinds of records.

Shodhan Prasad speaking on this occasion thanked everyone for arriving at the muhurat function in large numbers. He said, it is a good sign that the support to Tulu industry is increasing over the years. This time the entire film will be shot in Mangaluru, he said.

Director Ranjith Bajpe, conversing to the media said; “The story is written by him and is based on real incidents and conveys a good message to the society regarding drug-related issues. The movie also comprises comedy, action, and has very good suspense. A highlight of the movie is that it has a song completely dedicated to wedding celebrations of Mangaluru. Some songs might be shot in Madikeri, he said.

Hoping for the grand success of the movie he said, the shooting will be finished in a month.

Arjun Kapikad, is the lead actor of the movie and the lead actress is Shilpa Suvarna. Supporting actresses are Nidhi Maroli and Anvita Hemachandra. Supporting actor Sandeep Shetty Manibettu will be seen in a comic role.

Sudhakar Kudroli is Executive producer of the film and Karthik B Mallur is the cameraman.

As chief guests, Manohar Prasad- chief Udayavani Mangaluru bureau, Shiva Sharan Shetty, chairman of Namma TV, Devadas Kapikad, Dr Richard Castelino, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Prakash Pandeshwar, Rajesh Bhat were present among other dignitaries.
