Mangaluru, January 12: A district level conference of Samasta Kerala Sunni Students Federation (SKSSF) Dakshina Kannada unit was held at Nehru Maidan on Sunday, January 11th as a preparation for the silver jubilee celebrations which is scheduled to be held on February 19th at Thrissur, in Kerala State.
The event was inaugurated by Sheikhana Sayyed Muhammed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal.
Addressing the gathering, Shaikhuna Syed Muhammad Jifri Muthukoya Thangal criticized the intrusion of politicians and others in religious matters and said, “Ulama associations will deal with any issues related to fiqh in Islam. Political leaders or experts from other fields need not meddle in it.
He continued further said, the SKSSF does not have any materialistic desires. The Samasta Kerala Jamiyyatul Ulama does not even have a bank account. Giving a call Thangal said, all should join hands to support such a good organization.
Twaka Ahmed Musliyar Al Azhari, Qazi of DK presided over the function.
K Ashraf- former mayor of Mangalore and president of welcome committee, SKSSF district-level convention was felicitated for his contribution towards the religious field.
