Mangaluru, January 10: Leader of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Satyajit Suratkal, has passed allegation against the Mangaluru North MLA stating that he was supporting ganja mafia in Suratkal area.
Satyajit was speaking at a public protest meet held at Suratkal junction on Friday, January 9th, to condemn the increased menace of ganja racket in the area and also the statement of MLA that the recent murder of businessman and BJP member Keshav Shetty was an act of revenge due to gang war. Satyajith further said, so far it was thought that the Mangaluru North MLA was supporting illegal cattle trafficking alone.
Former MLA, Krishna Plemar, spoke on this occasion and said, when he was the MLA, no major crime had occurred in Suratkal area. He said, crimes have become common now and blamed the failure of Cognress Government in the state in maintaintaining law and order.
Balakrishna Munchoor, Eshwar Kateel, Satish Muchur, Bhuvanabhirama Udupa, Kasturi Panja, Vachan Mukka were among the many who participated in the protest.
