Decomposed body of a man traced in a lorry at Nanthoor.

Mangaluru, December 20: A dead body of a man was traced at Nanthoor, Mangaluru on Saturday, December 20th; which has aroused suspicions.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok (60). His body wrapped inside a blanket was traced behind a lorry.

It is learnt that the above said lorry came from Haryana. It had left from Haryana to Kerala, carrying plywood about ten days ago. On its way back from Kerala, it halted in Mangaluru about three or four days ago.

Inter-state Lorries stop at Himalayan transport agency near Nanthoor to verify documents. This lorry too had stopped there.

On Saturday, few people who sensed foul smell emanating near the lorry, and on inspecting, they found the body in it. They immediately informed the police.

Ashok was cleaner of the lorry. Injury marks were found on Ashok’s neck and the body was decomposed in state, it is suspected that he might have died about three or four days ago.

Police said that they are trying to locate the driver of the lorry and further details would be known only after he is found.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital for post-mortem.

The lorry owner is said to be Malkan Singh from Haryana.

Kadri cops have registered a case.
