MANGALORE: A bus driver who was brutally assaulted with lethal weapons on Saturday night succumbed to injuries on Sunday.
The deceased is Prasanna (32), a resident of Jyothinagar, Kulshekar. Police said a gang of miscreants had assaulted the victim with lethal weapons when he was on his way home after his duty at 10.15 pm near Paldane.
Police said according to the victim, he identified one of the attackers as Raju alias Japan Manga.
A financial dispute is said to be the reason behind this attack. The driver before he died stated that he had a tiff with. Kotimura Rajaneesh a few months back and suspected that he must have sent the attackers.
