Mangaluru, December 16: Ravikrishna Reddy, state spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) addressed a press meet on Monday December 15th at AAP office in Mangaluru and said; BJP and Congress are two faces of the same coin. Citizens of the region elected Congress party in Dakshina Kannada against BJP since they did not want the rule of BJP government.
Speaking on communal glitch and moral policing which are taking place in the district, he said, frequent incidents of moral policing are bringing bad opinion about the city. The government has failed to encourage progressive thoughts among citizens and thereby prevent communal violence and moral policing.
He congratulated deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim for his good administration by taking various initiatives. Ministers of this district have failed to provide good administration, said Reddy.
Reddy informed that, under the name of mission Vistar, the AAP is forming committees at all levels following the model of internal democracy. Independent observers are appointing the committees and in Karnataka too, independent observers will announce district and state committees. He also revealed that a new DK district committee will be formed, within couple of weeks.
Dr Mercy Pinto urged the state government to appoint a commissioner for Mangalore City Corporation immediately.
