“Vishwa Tuluvere Parba” becomes meaningful with the participation of all clans- Janardhan Poojary

Mangaluru, December 13: B Janardhan Poojary, Former union minister and Congress leader speaking in a press meet held in the city, on December 12th criticized BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj for stating Nathuram Godse as a ‘patriot’.

On Thursday December 12th, BJP MP from Unnao Sakshi Maharaj had aroused controversy by saying Godse was a nationalist and a patriot but he later retracted his statement.

Addressing a press meet here, Poojary said, “Mahatma Gandhi- Father of the Nation is recognised throughout the globe for Ahimsa, and his ideology have inspired persons like Nelson Mandela and many other nations. But Sakshi Maharaj has lauded Nathuram Godse projecting him as patriot. This is nothing but anti-national.”

Poojary also demanded that the prime minister take appropriate actions against the MP. Modi had assured that he would protect democracy, but the leaders of BJP and Sangh Parivar are giving various statements. BJP president says that Taj Mahal was actually Tejo Mahal, but the PM still remains quiet. He also queried that what was their intension?.

The Sangh Parivar activists say that they will give Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh for conversion which shows their aggressive fundamentalism and he queried why the PM is keeping quiet.

Poojary said, Modi ought to set things right within a week, and in case he fails to do so, he will no more be eligible to continue as PM, he declared.

He alleged bias in the handling of the recent clashes that took place in Ulaibettu, and said, “Around 500 people were booked in the Ulaibettu clashes, and all of them are from backward classes, and none from the upper castes. He said, people of backward classes are being misled.

Commenting on the “Vishwa Tuluvere Parba” that is being held at Adyar, outskirts of the city from Friday, December 12th he said, “Tulu Parba is for all class, including the downtrodden classes, they are also Tuluvas. It becomes a meaningful programme with the participation of all.
