Mangaluru, December 12: A case was booked in Ullal police station against Hindu Mahasabha chief Swami Pranavananda by Ullal block Congress president Eshwar for using abusive words while speaking about U T Khadar- the state health minister during a protest staged at Gurpur junction on December 7th.
A complaint has been thus lodged against the seers statement in the Ullal police station.
The Ullal cops on the basis of complaint have booked Swami Pranavananda under IPC sections such as section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race etc) and section 298 (uttering, words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of any person), and section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).
