Mangaluru, December 12: One more case of stabbing has been reported from Katipalla third block. The incident has occurred on Thursday night at around 9.45pm.
Thausif(28), resident of Kana is the injured. Thausif was on his way back home on his bike from jim when this incident took place.
Two miscreants who had arrived in a bike instructed Thausif to stop his bike. In response, when Thausif stopped his bike, he saw the miscreants possessing weapons and began to run away. Then the miscreants flung deadly weapons at Thausif. Luckily, Thausif escaped with few injuries.
Meanwhile the public’s who heard the cries of Thausif began to gather at the spot. The attackers who were frightened, fled the spot, said Thausif.
Sudden Protest:
The public’s who gathered at the spot after attack on Thaufik, staged a sudden protest and demanded immediate arrest of culprits.
MLA Mohideen Bava and PFI leader Abubacquer Kulai who visited the spot tried their best to pacify the protestors.
The protestors withdrew their protest only after the senior police authorities promised them of arresting the accused sooner.
The Suratkal cops arrived at the spot and imposed strict vigil.
