Mangaluru, December 8: District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, addressing a press meet at the district Congress office here on Monday December 8th, urged the citizens to maintain peace and live in harmony.
He said, silly issues should not provoke communal unrest. Gossip mongers are the enemies of the nation, said Rai.
Rai said, Police forces need to take the right steps to maintain peace in society. As district in-charge, I request all to live peacefully and not to take law into hands,” he said.
Minister conversing on the Kasturirangan report said, it has been prepared based on satellite data but the ground reality is different. We will have a detailed discussion and are ready with the report but we will submit it after considering others opinion.
Ibrahim Kodijal, interim president of the district Congress, MLA Mohiddin Bava, Mithun Rai, president of district Youth Congress, Mayor of Mangaluru city corporation-Mahabala Maarla, Former Mayor Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor, T K Sudhir among others were present in the press meet.
