Global award conferred to Mrs. Vaijayanthi Prasad Hedge.

Mumbai,dec.5 : Mrs. Vaijayanthi Prasad Hedge Teacher of green Park Central School has been Awarded the prestigious Global Teachers accreditation Award-2014 by the British Council. The Topic of Action Research was `Enhancing comprehension skills’ is students of Grade 8”.

Mrs. Vaijayanthi Prasad Hegde,  Perdoor was awarded the Global Teachers Accreditation 2014 by the British Council.The 2014 edition of GTA received over 450 applications out of which 116 teachers were shortlistedfir the action research.The initial proposal was followed by 10 weeks classroom interventions and the submission of the findings out of which 87 were awarded the Global Teachers Accreditation.

The topiccod Mrs Vaijayanthi’s research was `How can I help students of Grade 8 to improve their reading comprehension”. The focus was to enable the students to improve their understanding and interpretation of the English language as the major chunk of the classroom consist of first generation learners. The award was present.  by Dr Angela Cook, Ofsted inspector for English mainstream independent and international Schools (UK) on the 2 nd December 2024 at Emrald Ballroom Kempensik Ambience, Delhi.

Also present were Me Susan Dougals Managing Director of Forster Partnership.  (U.K) Sam Freedman, Director of Research and Evaluation and Impact at Teach First (U.K).   Andy Buck,  Director at Nationalcollege for School Leadership (U.K) Also   present were the the members of British Council India and prominent educators from across the country.
