Kundapur, November 7: District president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bykady Suprasad Shetty has warned that if the real culprits behind the Nanditha Poojary murder and rape case are not traced within a week, a Theerthahalli march from Udupi would be taken accompanied by thousands of activists and a massive protest would be conducted in front of the residence of the in-cahrge Minister Kimmane Ratnakar Shetty.
He was addressing a protest conducted on November 7th at Kundapur demanding the brisk investigation in Nanditha case.
Many cases are imposed on the Hindu associations which fight for the country and to safeguard the women of the country, the association is not scared if the cases are imposed while it fights for the cause of the security of women in the country.
Instead of providing justice in the death case of the girl, the minister Kimmane Rathnakara is drawing the attention of a community and supporting them which is not fair. None of the officers of Shimoga district, none of government representatives, have visited the family of Nanditha Poojary. The home minister has not yet pacified the family. There have been no condolences from the government level yet. It is not sure wheather this negligence is due to the reason that the girl belongs to Hindu family. This shows their vote bank politics, stating this he expressed his rage.
“Her family should be paid a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs within a week,” demanded Bykady Suprasad Shetty, he ordered.
“We have lost faith in the state government with regard to the investigation. While the state government paid several lacs to the family of cow thief who died in police encounter, it did not even bother to send an official to the house of late Nanditha. It shows the irresponsibility of the government”, he said.
Udupi district Bhajrang Dal co-convener Girish Kundapur, RSS zonal executive Subrahmanya Holla, Sunil K R, Bhajrang Dal divisional convener Murali, All India Student Federation Taluk President Chetan Kumar, Kundapur center BJP president Rajesh Kaveri, Fishermen community state convener Kishore Kumar, Taluk Panchayat president Bhaskar Billava, member of town municipal council Mohandas Shenoy, Raghavendra, Satish Shetty, BJP executive women members were present.
Yuva Morcaha president Shankara Ankadakatte welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
A massive protest rally was held in Kundapur town before the protest in which students and activists of Hindu associations, and BJP activists had participated.
