BJP damns the state government for tormenting Hindu outfit activists.

Mangaluru, November 6: The BJP MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, who participated in a press meet, held at the BJP district office, on November 5th Wednesday here has damned the recent torment faced by the Hindu outfit activists in the state.

Capt Ganesh Karnik, addressing the press meet said “Since the past 1.5 years, the government has been targeting the activists of Hindu groups and have falsely booked them under Goonda act due to political rivalry which is highly condemnable”.

“We strictly condemn the recent act of the Police sub-inspector of Kavoor who had assaulted Charan pitilessly. All the citizens are equal under the law. The police department bows to the pressure of the government.”

 BJP also damned the following recent incidents:

  1. Kodikere resident Manoj being booked under Goonda Act.
  2. Kadri station police had arrested few people in connection to attempt to murder, when actually it was petty fight.
  3. Harish Kumar Shetty, a resident of Yedapadav threw cow dung on Suresh Bhat Bakrabail’s face which has been considered as attempt to murder.
  4. False allegations by corporator of Hosabettu ward Pratibha Kulai about being attacked and molested by a group of Hindu activists.

“Hindu organizations fight against the social injustice. All the false cases lodged by the police department need to be withdrawn. In case, the police department happens to continue the same in future, BJP will protest”.

Conversing on death case of innocent Theerthalli high school girl Nandita, Capt Ganesh Karnik said, “So far, no arrests have been made in the Nandita death case, police have not come to any logical conclusion in this mysterious death. As Nandita’s family are unhappy with probe, BJP demands that the case be handed over immediately to CBI and justice be provided to the family.”

During this press meet, district BJP secretary Kishore Rai, BJP leaders Monappa Bhandary, Pushpalatha U K and others were present.
