Cyclone Nilophar to strike coastal districts sooner.

Mangalore, October 27: New Delhi: The meteorological department has informed that, five states including Karnataka is expected to be hit by hurricane Nilophar. There is a fear that, cyclone Nilophar may strike coastal districts including Mangalore and Udupi.

The meteorological department has predicted that, the cyclone which is originated at the Arabian Sea, will move to the North passing through Mumbai, and may cause extensive damage to Gujarat state.

By Tuesday night, the storm will get intensified, and is likely to cause heavy rainfall.

The meteorological department has warned that, areas of the west coast such as Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Diu-Daman, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep may be affected by storm. Nilophar is not as strong as HudHud. It may seriously affect some of the areas of Gujarat and Pakistan. There is likely to be heavy showers informed the meteorological department.

Warnings:

As per the information given by the Meteorological Department, the name of Mangalore in their list has aroused anxiety. It is also said, there might be heavy down pour before the hurricane passes through the area.
