Mangalore, October 18: The Silk game gambling spot which was closed 6 long years ago due to the wide fury of publics has been reopened under the recreational clubs by the Mangalore Police commissioner R Hithendra.

The dyFI chairman of the state has warned of the protest in front of the Silkgame gambling spot itself it such gambling spots are not shut down, which grabs the money from the poor, middle and downtrodden classes of society and bring them to the streets.

The silk game gambling spots are multiplying in the city with the aid of cops. These are operating mainly at, Linking tower, Central market, Jyothi circle, Bejai, in front of KSRTC bus terminus, Kottara junction, Kankanady , Hampankatte areas along with the main centres in the city. Due to these, the labourers, auto drivers and other working citizens are spending their entire amount for gambling and becoming bankrupts. Their poor families are falling to the streets. These gambling spots, which are functioning along with the support of the leaders of the ruling party, and with the literary permit from police commissioner, ought to be shut down immediately or else severe protest has to be faced, warned Muneer Katipalya.
