Mangalore, October 16: A protest was staged by Communist Party of India (CPI) DK, here on Thursday October 16th in front of the DC’s office accusing the central government on multiplying price hike.
P Sanjeeva CPI district secretary criticized the central government for not reducing the price of daily commodities. Addressing the media he said,”The central government is not serious about the people who are facing problems due to the price rise. BJP is following the footsteps of the UPA goverment. BJP is not taking into account that the price increase is making a huge impact on the society. Due to the price increase in the market, people are struggling and government is saying ‘Ache Din Aayega.’ But the ‘Ache Din’ has come for the industrialists and tycoons. The government is not taking any actions on the remedy for increasing the price on the food products.”
He said, “Citizens all over India are protesting. The Modi government is not taking any further steps in bringing the prices down. Modi has fooled all. Before cleaning the streets of India, your soul should be clean from corruption. But the BJP is filled with lot of corruption and everybody knows it. Parents are not able to send their children to school due to the price increase. In 68 years of the Congress and BJP rule, they have fooled everyone and still they are continuing with the same”.
Also he stated that, “Petrol prices have hiked a lot and BJP does not speak on it. Just to get into power, BJP made fake promises to the people. Educational institutions never admit students without donations. Even the institutions are corrupt”.
During the protest, V Kukyan AITUC president, H V Rao secretary, CPI district secretaries V S Berinja, B Shekar and others were also present.
