Mangalore, October 15: A protest was staged at DC’s office here on Wednesday October 15th by the Mangalore Hadinalkupatna Mogaveera Samyuktha Sabha forcing the arrest of Sathish Baikampady. He was alleged of the murder of Ganghadar Pangal.
Mogaveera community leader Ganghadar Pangal, was killed in a road accident at Surthkal on May 15th.
Advocate Gangadhar H community leader addressed the protest and said, “Even months after the murder of Gangadhar Pangal, police have failed to arrest the accused Sathish Bykampady. We had organized a peaceful protest demanding the arrest and also submitted a memorandum to the home minister and police commissioner through DC but the accused Sathish Bykampady is still absconding. The police department has failed to arrest the accused. Karnataka police has a good name and they were successful in tracking notorious criminals but in this case there not taking any interest to arrest the accused. Cops should arrest Sathish Baikampadi immediately and government should hand over the case to COD.
President of Mangalore Hadinalkupatna Mogaveera Samyuktha Sabha Rajiv Kanchan also spoke on this occasion.
Memorandum was received by the State minister U T Khader at the venue from the protesters.
During the protest, Community leader Chandrahas and others were present.
