Udupi, October 1: During the raid conducted by the Lokayuktha on September 30th on Dy-SP Prabhudev Mane’s house, the lokayuktha squad have found the possessions worth more than his income. During this raid, important documents have been obtained.
Raid has been conducted at a stretch to the Udupi Dy-SP office and his rented residence at Bramhagiri as well as own house at Hubli.
At the Udupi Bramhagiri residence, about 5 lakhs worth furnitures, 20,000Rs cash and 100grams gold has been obtained. The residence at Hubli is worth about 30 lakhs, which has been given on rent to seven families. Besides this, 4 acres of agricultural land is in his possession at Kalagadi in Dharwad said the lead of this raid Lokayuktha ASP Sadananada Varnekar.
It is said that, when the raid was conducted, Prabhudev Mane and his family has not opposed for this investigation.
Overall, Mane; as a Lokayuktha officer had taken stringent action against the corrupts, has landed into a situation to bow to the lokayuktha officials. As of now, a case has been filed against Mane.
