Kundapur, Sep 14: Hundreds of students gathered at Green Valley National School (GVNS), Shiroor here on Saturday September 13 to showcase their skills at the day-long science exhibition hosted by the School.

Syed Abdul Khader, president and managing trustee, GVNS inaugurated the exhibition. In his address, he called upon the teachers and parents to inspire students to study science and take up research.

He said that the exhibition was impressive and lauded the students for taking keen interest in preparing various science models. He also congratulated the staff and the students for their dedication and commitment in bringing their talents to the fore.

Around 600 students from class one to twelve participated in the exhibition. The winners will be declared department-wise. There were models related to Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computers, under the Iinternational School Project of the British Council. Around 20 schools from Shiroor, Byndoor and Bhatkal came to see the exibition.

Chief civil engineer from Mangalore P Raja, Khalid Saheb, Rafeeq Sadique, K M Jafar, Syed Jafar, M D Hussain and Whilhelmina Mathew were present on the dais. John Mathew, Principal of the institution, delivered the introductory address and welcomed the gathering.

Ruknuddin Hussain, Head Boy and Jasmeen, Head Girl of the school where the Master of Ceremonies for the programme.

There were a large number of educational and scientific projects and exhibits of a very high level which was so informative.
