Anti-Modi hate speech: Congress candidate Imran Masood granted bail

NEW DELHI: Congress candidate from Saharanpur Imran Masood was granted bail on Wednesday.

Imran Masood was arrested on charge of making hate speech against Narendra Modi and was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

In the speech, which went viral on internet, Masood allegedly threatened to “chop” BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi “into pieces”.

Congress had approached the Election Commission stating that the allegations against Masood were “unverified and distorted”.
